  3. If I send you an email with comments or questions, will you respond to it, or will it be lost in a black hole?
  4. Yes, I will respond as quickly as I can. Itís never fun to type out an email to someone who provides their email address on a web site, but never hear anything back from them. I will not do that. I will respond to you in the order that I receive the email. If I canít get to your email in a quick fashion, I will reply to you email and tell you that.

  5. Why did you write this book?
  6. I wrote the book because I believe it is something that both believers and unbelievers must be warned about. There are a multitude of Christian books available dealing with positive and uplifting subjects. However, there are very few that deal with the grim reality of what is really going to take place on the earth in the near future. But, I had to balance the desire to warn others with the desire to not repeat the same information that has been written over and over again by so many popular Bible prophecy teachers. I wanted the information to be unique and unobtainable from any other source. I believe that was accomplished with this book.

  7. Who is the target audience for this book?
  8. While Earthquake Resurrection was designed for everyone to be able to read and understand, the following groups should be interested in this book:

    • All those who study Bible prophecy, regardless of whether they were pre-trib, mid-trib, post-trib, pre-wrath, preterist or amillennial.
    • Those with an interest in future global catastrophic events, such as earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanoes, and other natural disasters.
    • Every Bible college and seminary student.
    • Every pastor, Sunday School teacher, evangelist, missionary, and Bible college and seminary professor in America and around the world.
    • Those with an interest in the current events in the Middle East, and how they apply to Bible prophecy.
    • Anyone who loves to study and dig into the Bible.

  9. How did you discover the pattern of the resurrection to immortality coinciding with earthquakes?
  10. I read information on the web site of Peter Goodgame, redmoonrising.com, about the catching-up event taking place at the opening of the sixth seal. Knowing that the resurrection of the dead had to precede the catching up (which Peteís site didnít deal with in depth), I decided to investigate whether the resurrection of the dead in scripture had anything in common with the events of the sixth seal.

My investigation led to the discovery that the three specific and detailed resurrections to immortality in the Bible have one important thing in common with the events at opening of the sixth seal: earthquakes. An exciting and intense study was born that night, and eventually this book was the result.

  11. Do you plan to write any other books? Perhaps fiction?
  12. Iíll write another book when I feel like I have something important that the Holy Spirit places in my heart, or information that is not available through any other sources. I would consider fiction, and consider that much easier to write than non-fiction.

  13. You mentioned that you didnít delve into topics such as the identity of the beast, the false prophet, the image of the beast, the mark of the beast, or Armageddon in your book. Why not?
  14. Those topics are more difficult to understand and interpret, in my view. I find that Greek word studies, searching for parallels and patterns in the Old Testament, are the best way to study those parts of Revelation. To know that the technologies for the mark of the beast exist is beneficial and proof that we are very close to those times coming to pass. However, I believe that the events of Danielís 70th week as described in Revelation chapters 8 through 19 are very difficult to emphatically tie to current events.

  15. What about all the proofs in the Bible for a post-tribulation catching-up and resurrection of the dead?
  16. I believe that the post-trib view of Bible prophecy has several strong points that must be answered by those who hold to other views. Those strong points include the fact that several times Jesus stated he would raise up believers on the "last day", who the "saints" that are conquered by the beast in Revelation chapter 13 are, and the significance of the "mystery of God" when the seventh angel blows its trumpet. However, I believe that the Earthquake Resurrection pre-70th week of Daniel view of Bible prophecy has even stronger points that the post-trib view must answer.

Some of the tough questions that the post-trib view must address include the following:

    • According to Revelation 19:14, the Lord returns with the armies of heaven clothed in white, clean linen. Jude verses 14 and 15 reveal that these armies are "holy ones", or "saints". It appears that there are resurrected persons coming with the Lord, rather than the Lord coming down in the clouds and resurrecting them when he arrives.
    • Jesus stated that no man knows the day nor hour that he would return, but only the Father. This being the case, the post-trib view struggles with the fact that the 7-year period is made up of exactly 2,520 days, and it would therefore be possible to calculate the very day the Lord will return if the first day of the 7-year period were known.
    • The post-trib view relies heavily on the "last trump" of I Corinthians 15:52 being equivalent to the "seventh trumpet" of Revelation 11:15. This is highly suspicious given that the trumpet that awakes the dead in Christ in I Corinthians 15:52 is further described in I Thessalonians 4:16 as being the "trump of God". The seventh trumpet is blown by an angel, not God. Furthermore, as is explored in detail in Earthquake Resurrection, the trumpet of God is almost certainly Godís voice rather than the last trumpet blown by the seventh angel.
    • The post-trib view of the individuals in Revelation 7:9-17 being the enormous crowd of believers who went through the "great tribulation" must be explained. The crowd of believers are clearly resurrected "persons" and "people" who are before the throne. However, those who do not accept the mark of the beast are not resurrected until the beginning of the 1,000 year reign on the earth according to Revelation 20:4. For this reason, the Revelation 7:9-17 group of resurrected persons cannot be those who do not take the mark of the beast, but must rather be all believers in Christ throughout the ages.
    • The post-trib view is weak in the area of understanding that Danielís 70th week deals with Israel, the Jews, and Jerusalem, according to Daniel 9:24. The 7-year period in Revelation clearly deals with Israel, the Jews, and Jerusalem in chapters 7, 11, 12, 13, 14, and 16. This lends weight to the idea that members of the body of Christ are not in view during this time.
    • The post-trib view must deal with what is described in Isaiah 26:19-21:

26:19 Your dead will come back to life; your corpses will rise up. Wake up and shout joyfully, you who live in the ground! For you will grow like plants drenched with the morning dew, and the earth will bring forth its dead spirits.

26:20 Go, my people! Enter your inner rooms! Close your doors behind you! Hide for a little while, until his angry judgment is over!

26:21 For look, the Lord is coming out of the place where he lives, to punish the sin of those who live on the earth. The earth will display the blood shed on it; it will no longer cover up its slain.

According to these verses, and in this order, there will be (1) a resurrection of the dead, (2) the hiding of the Lordís people in inner rooms with the doors closed behind them, (3) the hiding away while the angry judgment is taking place, and (4) the hiding away until the angry judgment concludes.

  17. What is your creed or statement of faith?
  18. These are some of the certainties and essentials of my personal beliefs, all based on the inspired Word of God:

    • The prophets, apostles, and eyewitnesses of Jesus Christ were inspired by the Holy Spirit to write the original Hebrew and Greek manuscripts that make up the 66 books of the Bible.
    • Jesus Christ was fully God in human flesh.
    • Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spiritís overshadowing of Mary, who bore him in a virgin state.
    • Jesus Christ committed no transgression of the moral law of God. He took the curse of our transgressions into his physical body and bore them as he was crucified.
    • Jesus Christ died, was buried in a tomb for three days and nights, and was resurrected from the dead into an immortal body.
    • Jesus Christ was seen alive after his death by over 500 people. Forty days after his resurrection, he ascended into the heavens. He is currently sitting at the right hand of God in intercession for our prayers.
    • The Holy Spirit was given to believers in a new and powerful way on the Day of Pentecost as described in Acts chapter 2.
    • The Holy Spirit has many essential functions in the life of every believer, including conviction of sin, sealing until the day of redemption, comforting, indwelling, maturing, empowerment, and revealing of things to come. There are nine gifts of the Spirit in operation among believers.
    • Every person has transgressed the moral law of God.
    • The wages, payment, or penalty for transgression of the moral law of God is death.
    • There is only one way to remit the curse of transgression of the moral law of God: the blood of Jesus Christ.
    • There is nothing you or I can do to earn the salvation provided by the blood of Jesus Christ. It is a free gift.
    • We must first understand and admit that we have transgressed Godís moral law. We must then believe that Jesus Christ death provided atonement, or blotting out, of our transgressions. and trust him to forgive our sins. Jesus Christ described this process as becoming "born again". We must completely abandon our sin and rely on the Holy Spiritís guidance from that day forward.
    • Those who die without the remission of their transgressions available in the blood of Jesus Christ will abide in an eternal place of torment, initially hell at the first death, then the lake of fire at the second death.
    • Jesus Christ will return to the earth a second time.
    • There will be a resurrection of the dead of both believers and unbelievers, which will take place in several stages. After these resurrections are complete, there will be a judgment before God's throne at which every person will stand and give an account of their words and deeds.

  19. I'd like to read this on my computer with larger font. Can I purchase this book in PDF?
  20. Keeping the font size at 10 points kept the price of the book down and kept the number of pages lower. If a larger size font were used, the book would have been approximately 450 pages and a several dollars more expensive. If you have purchased the book and would like a PDF to read on your computer with larger font, please let me know.
